The Ministry of Agriculture and Food presents 3 educational conferences to support a competitive, sustainable and resilient agricultural sector in British Columbia.

Lower Mainland Horticultural Conference

January 23 to 25, 2025

  • TRADEX, Abbotsford

The Lower Mainland Horticultural Conference is a three-day conference held in conjunction with the Pacific Agriculture Show in Abbotsford.

The conference features informative sessions on production practices, pest management, water management, climate adaptation and market insight.

There is focus on the blueberry, raspberry, strawberry, potatoes, field vegetables, greenhouse vegetables, floriculture, ornamentals, hazelnuts and organics sectors in the Lower Mainland.

The conference is delivered in partnership with the Lower Mainland Horticultural Improvement Association and the Pacific Agriculture Show.

Islands Agriculture Show

January 31 to February 1, 2025

  • Cowichan Exhibition Park, Duncan

The Islands Agriculture Show is a two-day conference for horticultural and livestock producedrs of all sizes on Vancourver Island and the Gulf Islands. 

Held in conjunction with an agricultural trade show, the conference provides producers the opportunity to get the latest information on research, farming practices, and market opportunities from some of the industry's most knowledgeable experts. 

The Islands Agricultural show is delivered in partnership with the Islands Agriculture Show Society.

Southern Interior Horticultural Show

February 12 to 13, 2025

  • Penticton Trade and Convention Centre

The Southern Interior Horticultural Show is a two-day conference focused on the apple, cherry, and grape sectors in B.C. It is delivered by the B.C. Ministry of Agriculture and Food in partnership with a wide variety of fruit, grape and wine industry groups, and held in conjunction with a horticultural trade show

The conference provides producers with the opportunity to get the latest information on research, farming practices and market opportunities from some of the industry's most knowledgeable experts.

This event covers a variety of important horticultural topics through extensive speaker sessions, networking and an impressive trade show where exhibitors will showcase their products and services supporting the tree fruit and grape industries in B.C.
