Water management and salinity monitoring

The Delta Farmers Institute Water and Salinity Monitoring Program aids agricultural producers and City of Delta staff with operational decisions related to irrigation management.

The program is a network of salinity monitoring sites throughout the Fraser River and internal irrigation system that provides near-real-time data on water salinity and depth.

Agricultural technology and innovation

The B.C. On-Farm Technology Adoption Program helps farmers across the province purchase new technology with funding from the federal, provincial, and territorial Sustainable Canadian Agricultural Partnership.

This video showcases a pilot project with 6 producers conducting on-farm demonstration research. Research topics include regenerative agriculture, and beneficial management practices such as cover cropping and no-till.
