COVID-19 and Strata Housing

Strata corporations need to keep functioning during the COVID-19 pandemic.

NEW: Effective May 29, 2020, strata corporations have an additional two months to hold a general meeting in a provincial or local state of emergency. Effective April 15, 2020, all strata corporations can now hold electronic general and Annual General Meetings (AGMs). Effective May 29, 2020 stratas can pay for rising insurance costs from the contingency reserve fund, without approval from owners, if payment is required before there is time to convene a general meeting.
