Pharmacies and device suppliers not enrolled as providers in the BC PharmaCare program or enrolled as providers with limits and conditions

Enrolment requirement
Under the Pharmaceutical Services Act and the Provider Regulation, a pharmacy or device supplier must enrol in PharmaCare and be accepted as a provider in order to submit claims to PharmaCare on behalf of B.C. residents.
Pursuant to Section 23(5)(b) of the Provider Regulation, if the Ministry of Health denies enrolment to a site:
- The ministry will notify the site in writing.
- The site has 21 days to respond in writing.
- If the site responds within the 21 days, the ministry considers the response and confirms or reverses the denial of enrolment.
- If the site does not respond within 21 days, the site will not be enrolled.
- The ministry notifies the site of the final decision in writing.
- If the site is not enrolled as a PharmaCare provider:
- the site cannot submit claims to PharmaCare on behalf of B.C. residents.
- if a B.C. resident purchases PharmaCare benefits from the site, PharmaCare will not cover the items.
Sites not enrolled in PharmaCare due to their application being denied or enrolment cancelled
This list includes pharmacy and device supplier sites that are not enrolled in the BC PharmaCare program and that cannot submit claims on behalf of B.C. residents. Medications or other benefits purchased from these sites cannot be covered by PharmaCare.
