Clients wishing to integrate with the Provincial Identity Information Management (IDIM) Program's identity and authentication services must complete the following privacy steps as part of the onboarding process:

  • A Privacy Impact Assessment – A PIA determines which personal information your organization is authorized to collect, use and disclose for the purpose of providing the service to it’s end users.
  • A Privacy Impact Assessment Checklist -  The supplementary Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) Checklist (304KB, pdf) to assess the personal information required for your program to utilize the BC Services Card identity and authentication service.
  • A Briefing/Presentation to the Office of the Information Privacy Commissioner (OIPC) - As part of IDIM’s commitment to ensure appropriate oversight is provided to the onboarding process, a briefing with the OIPC will occur prior to the service being implemented in a production environment.
