Consent Resolution Agreement
Both the Commissioner and the certificate holder involved in a disciplinary matter have the opportunity to suggest that a matter be resolved in a consent resolution to avoid a citation and hearing.
This voluntary process results in a written agreement that includes information about what was decided and how it relates to a teacher's certificate and/or practice.
The outcome is shared with the person who made the complaint and the consent resolution agreement is made public unless it would cause hardship to the person who was harmed by the teacher. If the outcome is the suspension or cancellation of certificate, the information is recorded in the online registry and on the discipline outcomes page.
