The Infrastructure Planning Grant Program supports municipalities and regional districts with grants towards projects related to developing sustainable community infrastructure.
Intakes for the Infrastructure Planning Grant Program have been paused as the Ministry of Housing and Municipal Affairs reviews expenditures to find efficiencies and make sure spending is focused on making the biggest impact on the lives of British Columbians.
Local governments will be notified when there are Program updates.
Grants of up to $10,000 are available to help local governments develop or improve long-term comprehensive plans including, and not limited to:
Grants can be used for a range of activities related to assessing the technical, environmental and/or economic feasibility of local government infrastructure projects.
Applications and claims for the infrastructure planning grant must be completed and submitted online using the Local Government Information System (LGIS). After getting access to the LGIS system, please visit the LGIS Learning Centre for step-by-step instructions to walk you through completing the forms.
