Municipal general and financial statistics

The municipal general and financial statistic schedules contain data on: 

• Municipal assets
• Liabilities (including long-term debt)
• Revenues
• Expenditures
• Cash-flow
• Reserve funds
• Other financial information

While the provincial government does perform checks of the data, we do not guarantee its accuracy or validity. Users should contact local governments directly if they require confirmation of data.

Beginning in 2008, the schedules have been amended to reflect generally accepted accounting principles for local governments, thus some reports may differ from previous years.

The quality of information contained in the schedules depends on the input from local governments and their auditors. While the ministry performs reviews on all submitted data, it does not guarantee its accuracy or validity. Contact local governments directly if confirmation of data is required.​

Data for years prior to 2005 may be requested electronically.
