Briefing note summaries

A briefing note is a document used to explain ideas, summarize analysis or provide advice to decision makers.

Ministries publish a monthly summary of briefing notes prepared for the Premier, Ministers, Ministers of State, or Deputy Ministers. They include:

The individual's name and title,
Document tracking number (Cliff Number if used by the ministry),
The date the briefing note was prepared, and
The subject or title of the briefing note

Content may be withheld in accordance with the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.

Briefing note summaries for a specific month are published 60 calendar days after the end of that month.
