A PEN is a nine-digit number that identifies you in B.C.’s education system. This is not the same as your student number. Most students have a PEN and this order won't be processed if a PEN was assigned to you already.

If you last attended school between 1974 and 1985 your school district office will have your records. Please contact your school of record or district office.
If you do not have a PEN, you can order a high school transcript or certificate.
Transcripts/Certificate requests placed for students who have a PEN will be cancelled.
If you do not have a Personal Education Number (PEN), you can order a high school transcript or certificate for $10.00 each.

For former students, ordering transcripts and certificates are $10 each. Once your request is received, you will be sent a confirmation e-mail.
