Topographic data provides detail on British Columbia's terrain, elevation and land features. The topography of B.C. is used to create maps of the provincial landbase.
Many base mapping products are offered through the Base Map Online Store.
Base map data is the basic structure onto which we add geospatial data layers. These maps show mountains, borders, and streets. To show elevation, we use lines, shading, and other techniques. This data helps everyone collect and share information about the land in the same way.
