Family support services

Family support services offer confidential support for a broad range of family-related issues, including child care and parenting, intimate relationships, and elder care challenges.

These services are free, voluntary and available to everyone, including:

  • Auxiliary employees
  • Employees receiving a Short Term Illness and Injury Plan (STIIP) or long-term disability (LTD) benefits
  • Family members who normally live with an employee

Depending on your needs, an intake counselor may redirect you to telephone, online or digital resource kit supports.

  • Find digital resources and helpful tools about a range of family issues

Online relationship support program

  • Achieve greater understanding and satisfaction in intimate relationships through this self-directed online program
  • Learn about relationship building blocks such as communication and conflict resolution
  • Take advantage of helpful interactive features, including:
    • Self-assessments
    • Checklists
    • Goal-setting exercises
  • This self-directed program is available for 3 months after you begin using the service

Online separation and divorce program

  • Better understand how to successfully cope with this challenging life event with this self-directed online program
  • Get comprehensive information about typical separation and divorce issues from clinical, legal and financial experts
  • Take advantage of helpful interactive features, including:
    • Self-assessments
    • Checklists
    • Goal-setting exercises
  • This self-directed program is available for 3 months after you begin using the service
