Show your appreciation
Show your employees their hard work is appreciated:
- Send an email acknowledging someone for their work
- Hand-write a thank you card
- Give recognition during a team meeting or on your ministry intranet
- Organize a virtual or in person celebratory event for your team
- Consider ordering non-taxable awards through the Distribution Centre Victoria (DCV) protocol and recognition catalogue

Long Service awards
Recognize employees who have reached significant milestone years of employment with the BC Public Service. Learn about the Long Service awards.
Registration opens each year in March and closes at the end of April.
Service pin program
Launched in 2016 as a complement to the Long Service awards, the corporate service pin program recognizes long service milestones in 5-year intervals.
Premier's Innovation and Excellence awards

Public Service Week
Celebrated annually in the third week of June, Public Service Week recognizes the positive contributions public service employees make to improve the lives of British Columbians.

WES is an important engagement tool that measures job satisfaction, organizational satisfaction, and BC Public Service commitment.
Tied into the results of the WES survey, the Top Work Unit Awards program celebrates and showcases top performing work units in the BC Public Service.
