You can find answers about how to apply for a teaching certificate, how to maintain a teaching certificate, and how to make a complaint about a certificate holder on our website.


By phone

The Service BC Help Desk can guide you through Government of British Columbia programs and services. Service is available Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 5:00 pm Pacific time (except B.C. statutory holidays). Note: We cannot discuss the status of an application for teacher certification or the evaluation of an application over the phone.

In-person services

You can solve most issues without visiting the Teacher Regulation Branch. Find the information you need on our website or contact us by phone.  

We do not offer in-person service to:

  • Review and pre-assess an application for certification
  • Provide updates about the status of a submitted application and related documents 

We offer limited in-person service. You can only:

  • Drop off physical documents related to an application for teacher certification
  • Pick up a pre-ordered physical copy of a teaching certificate for pick-up
  • Make a fee payment

Thursday: 8:30 am to 4:30 pm
Friday: 8:30 am to 4:30 pm
Saturday: closed
Sunday: closed

Our office is also closed for statutory holidays.
