Last updated on June 10, 2025

Cyclists are not permitted to travel through the George Massey Tunnel.

Use the free shuttle service to travel safely from one side of the tunnel to the other. You can also travel through the tunnel by bus. TransLink buses that travel through the tunnel have racks for two bikes.

Shuttle pick-up and drop-off map

Richmond shuttle goes southbound towards Delta: Pick-up and return drop-off is on the shoulder of service road east of Highway 99 on the north side of Rice Mill Road, in Richmond. Use the No. 5 Road and Rice Mill Road connection for access.

Delta shuttle goes northbound towards Richmond: Pick-up and return drop-off is on the shoulder of Highway 17A north of the Highway 99 / 17A interchange, in Delta.

Shuttle capacity

The trailer carries up to eight standard, unloaded bikes. If there are more than seven passengers, the driver will return to pick up the overflow.

Tandem Bikes

The shuttle can carry tandem bikes. One tandem bike takes the same amount of space as three standard bikes.

Electric Bikes

The shuttle can carry e-bikes if:

  • The bike weighs less than 25 kg (55 lbs)
  • Wheels fit properly in the bike rack
  • The bike includes a removable lithium battery

Cyclists must remove the battery and bring it onboard the shuttle.

Scooter-style electric bikes are not permitted on bike racks—they weigh too much and don't fit properly on the rack.
