Inspection Standards

The Inspection Standards were developed by the Investigation and Standards Office to focus on the experience of individuals in custody and the conditions in provincial adult correctional centres in B.C.
Each standard describes treatment and conditions a correctional centre is expected to achieve
Standards are grouped into themes and are further divided into sections

Cycle 1 Inspection Report 2023-2025

Inspections – Cycle 1 Report (2023-2025) (PDF, 442KB) is a summary of inspections that occurred from 2023 to 2025 of all ten correctional centres in B.C.

Cycle 2 Inspection Reports 2025-2027
