Explore by Location

Last updated on February 23, 2026

Explore by Location is an interactive mapping tool that provides information about the land base within a selected area of interest (AOI). It highlights existing activities, designations, or other land uses to help you determine whether your AOI is available for the activity you plan to apply for.

The tool also generates a report describing how these existing uses may influence your proposed project and what you may need to consider before applying for natural resource licences, permits, registrations, or other authorizations. Watch a short video that shows how it works.
