Types of Qualified Persons
Qualified persons fall roughly into two groups: registered professionals and accredited practitioners. Each group may become a qualified person in a variety of ways, as shown in Figure 1.

Being a registered professional or an accredited practitioner is necessary, but not always sufficient, to be considered to be a qualified person. Sometimes additional expertise or experience is required.
