Aerial overview survey data files

Data collected from aerial overview surveys in B.C. since 1999, and associated maps, are available for download.

Aerial Overview Survey spatial data can be accessed from the BC Data Catalogue. The data are available separately as polygon and spot/point data, in a number of date range permutations described and hyperlinked below: 

Polygon data:

• Current (e.g. 2024 only)
• All years (1909-current)
• Historic (all years except current) 

Point data:

• Current (e.g. 2024 only)
• All years (1909-current)
• Historic (all years except current) 

If you currently have all the historic data and only require downloading the most recent (2024) program, you would download the Pest Infestation Polygons - Current and the Pest Infestation Points - Current. By downloading both you would have the entirety of the 2024 data currently. These links will always lead you to download the most current year's data, so by early next year these links will lead you to download the 2025 program data, and the 2024 data would be available to you within either the All years or Historic datasets.
