PRIME enrolment dates
RPNs and LPNs: Even if you are only "pulling" a patient record for a practitioner and not viewing PharmaNet info, you need to enrol in PRIME.
As of February 1, RNs with birthdays in October to December should enrol in PRIME. Refer to the BCCNM newsletter and emails you have received from the BCCNM.

|
Enrol in PRIME during the same window as the independent user you support. See dates above. If you support independent users in different professions, it is best to enrol during the earliest enrolment window. (You must have enrolled by the end of the latest window.) If the enrolment window has passed, enrol in PRIME immediately. |
Important: PRIME automatically uploads your name as it appears on your BC Services Card. If your regulatory college provides a different name to the Ministry of Health, please use the Preferred Name fields to enter the one your college sent, exactly as they sent it (including punctuation) and ensure the names are in the correct fields (first name, middle name, last name). This will prevent delays with your PRIME enrolment. If you are unsure which name you should enter, please contact your college to confirm.
December 2021 changes to PharmaNet user status

- Nurses and pharmacy technicians are now independent PharmaNet users ("registrants" in the Information Management Regulation). Nurse practitioners have always been independent users
- Dentists, midwives, naturopaths, optometrists and podiatrists are all now independent PharmaNet users ("registrants")
