Claim the appropriate reimbursement amount using the relevant prosthetic or orthotic Product Identification Number (PIN). Prosthetic componentry may be claimed in addition to prosthetic socket PINs. In general, labour and small components (e.g., shop materials) are accounted for in the socket or procedure PINs and should not be claimed. Some components and procedures are listed below without a PIN; these may be claimed in addition to the appropriate PIN (and components for prostheses).
- Maximum reimbursement amounts are based on a health care provider’s usual and customary price up to the PharmaCare maximum reimbursement specified below
- PharmaCare coverage is limited to one check, test, dynamic or diagnostic socket per laminated definitive socket
- An immediate post-operative prosthesis can be billed separately, or it can be included with the first Application for Financial Assistance form completed for the client’s first prosthetic device
