The B.C. Immunizing Agents and Vaccine Catalogue Value Set is aligned to the National Vaccine Catalogue (NVC) dataset which aggregates data from Health Canada, the Public Health Agency of Canada, and Canada Health Infoway. The B.C. catalogue provides a comprehensive list of immunizing agents and vaccine products available provincially, across Canada, and internationally for use in digital health information systems (e.g. Electronic Medical Records (EMR), Clinical Information Systems (CIS), Pharmacy Management Systems (PMS), and the Provincial Immunization Repository (PIR). This includes information about vaccine products, standardized terminology, mapping between manufactured products and Immunizing Agents, and B.C. Product Identification Numbers (PINs) used in PharmaNet.
