Basic BCeID

A Basic BCeID account is used to log in to services online. People use a username and password.

Overview:

  • It is recommended by the OCIO
  • You should only have low confidence that the person is who they say they are
  • You can use for people representing a business, if you manage which business in your service
  • You can only get a unique identifier and a name for the person. The name is whatever the person provides. It could be anything, for example “Mickey Mouse” 

Who it works for and what they need

Works for anyone.

They just need to have an email address.
