This page includes information about the Credential Assessment Improvement Fund (CAIF), including eligibility criteria, how and when to apply and more.
Regulatory authorities responsible for the credential recognition process in regulated occupations are eligible to submit a project proposal.
Funding applications need to demonstrate alignment with the goals and principles of the Credential Assessment Improvement Fund and address how the proposed project will benefit international applicants. Applications must also include an evaluation framework with quantifiable metrics that illustrate the impact of the proposed project, as well as a project budget.
Detailed information on application requirements can be found in the CAIF Application Guide 2023 (PDF, 132KB).
Regulatory authorities who wish to apply should complete the CAIF Application Form (DOC, 73KB) and CAIF Budget Template and Sample Budget 2023 (XLS, 23KB).
Please contact CAIF@gov.bc.ca if you have questions or want to discuss your proposal.
