Stephanie Higginson, Parliamentary Secretary for Primary Care Access

Stephanie Higginson was elected MLA for Ladysmith-Oceanside in 2024.

Stephanie was appointed Parliamentary Secretary for Primary Care Access in November 2025. She previously held the role of Government Caucus Chair.

Before being elected to the Legislative Assembly, Stephanie was twice elected to the Nanaimo-Ladysmith Board of Education and served as the past president of the BC School Trustees’ Association. As president of the BC School Trustees’ Association, Stephanie was instrumental in guiding the public education system through the Covid-19 pandemic. Stephanie is also a former secondary school teacher with a Master of Arts degree in Educational Studies from UBC.

Stephanie and her husband live on a small farm in Cedar with their two teenage children.
