Amna Shah was first elected as the MLA for Surrey-City Centre in 2024.
Amna was appointed the Parliamentary Secretary for Anti-Racism Initiatives in July 2025 and Parliamentary Secretary for Mental Health and Addictions in November 2024. She also serves as the Deputy Government Whip.
Before her election in 2024, Amna served as the Outreach Director with the BC Government Caucus, where she liaised with community organizations throughout the province.
Amna is a past volunteer and director on the board of the Surrey Food Bank.
She has called Surrey home for nearly 20 years.
