In Canada, telecommunications companies are regulated by the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC).
There are some lower-cost subscription programs available for British Columbians.

Connecting Families Initiative

The federal Connecting Families Initiative offers lower-cost internet subscriptions for eligible applicants in B.C.

The three internet service providers participating in the Connecting Families Initiative are:

  • Rogers
  • TELUS
  • Northwestel

Rogers Connected for Success

The Rogers Connected for Success program offers lower-cost subscription packages for eligible people in B.C.

The TELUS Internet for Good program offers lower-cost subscription packages for mobile and internet. They are available for eligible people in B.C.
