Land designated as agricultural land and established as an agricultural land reserve under section 11 of the Agricultural Land Commission Act. For proposed application to land that has been designated as agricultural land, the Agricultural Land Commission must be notified.
Biosolids are the stabilized products that are recovered from the wastewater treatment process. Only biosolids that have been treated to reduce pathogens and vectors and that meet the quality thresholds for pathogens, foreign matter and metals can be land applied.
These sites must develop a site-specific land application plan, developed by a qualified professional, and notify government agencies.
