Current activities

  • Kaska Nation is comprised of four Kaska First Nations, three with communities in British Columbia (Dease River First Nation, Kwadacha Nation and Liard First Nation, with its community of Lower Post governed by the Daylu Dena Council) and two in the Yukon (Ross River Dena Council and Liard). The Province has active government-to-government relationships and agreements with Dease River First Nation, Kwadacha Nation, Liard First Nation, and Daylu Dena Council.

Treaty stage

  • Treaty negotiations with Kaska Nation are inactive. Previously, the Province and Kaska Dena Council reached Stage 4 - Negotiating an Agreement-in-Principle.
