Innovation Accelerator Request for Proposals

2021 Call Closed

Next Call Opening Early 2022

The Innovation Accelerator funding call supports projects that involve the demonstration, pilot or trial of clean technologies or processes with the potential to reduce emissions for industry in B.C.

This stream targets pre-commercial technologies in the Technology Readiness Level (TRL) 7-8 range, as defined by Innovation Canada. However, novel trial projects for TRL 9 technologies, which meet the eligibility requirements, will also be accepted.

Projects must have the potential to reduce emissions in B.C. as a direct result of (a) the use of the project’s technology or process at the reporting operations associated with the project and/or (b) the commercial adoption of the project’s technology or process.

Projects must contribute to innovation through the development of new technologies or processes or through the innovative adaptation of an existing technology or process.

Project technologies or processes must have a path to commercial adoption if successfully proven viable.

For Innovation Accelerator call scope and eligibility please refer to section 3 of the Innovation Accelerator RFP.

Project Feasibility Studies Request for Proposals

2021 Call Closed

Next Call Opening Early 2022

The Feasibility Studies funding call supports preliminary studies that aim to provide clarity and confidence to potential projects intending to apply for funding through the EP or IA RFP streams.

The study should help to remove barriers, mitigate risks, and/or determine the viability of a potential project, including whether a project is operationally, technically or economically feasible.

Studies must support work related to a potential project that would be eligible under either the Emissions Performance or Innovation Accelerator streams.

For more information on the scope and eligibility requirements for the Feasibility Study call, please refer to section 3 of the RFP.
