Based on the outcomes of the BC Environmental Appeal Board Decision made on the appeal of Atlantic Powers permit 8808, the statutory decision-maker amended the permit that can be found below.

Based on the feedback received throughout the application process, including public consultation and the technical merits of the application, the decision was made to approve the amendment. This decision was made after the statutory decision-maker issued a draft permit document and draft ministry assessment for public feedback on June 24, 2016.

This updated public notice from the proponent provides a current summary of the details of the amendment application, which has evolved since the original Environmental Protection Notice of October 2015. Any person who may be adversely affected by the proposed amendment and wishes to provide relevant information may send written comments to the applicant with a copy to the Director, Environmental Protection at authorizations.north@gov.bc.ca within 30 days after the date of posting.
