This section explains the director’s activity to increase public awareness of the Act.

General information about the Branch, Branch publications, dispute resolution services and information on the operation, application and interpretation of the Employment Standards Act and Employment Standards Regulation can be found on the Branch website.

Branch Offices

Employment Standards Branch staff are available between 8:30 am to 4:30 pm; Monday through Friday to answer public enquires respecting the operation, application and interpretation of the Employment Standards Act and Regulation.

Education Seminars

Education seminars can be arranged through the Employment Standards Branch. Groups who have used this service in the past include high schools, colleges, universities and other non-profit educational institutions, and sector and employer groups.

Delegates will deliver or participate in sessions where possible. The institution or sponsoring group is responsible for providing the facilities, advertising the program and registering participants. There is no charge for presentations.

The Employment Standards Branch may initiate presentations and/or consultations with specific sectors and employer groups.
