Compliance and Enforcement

The Compliance and Enforcement Policies sets out the Security Programs Division’s (SPD) enforcement framework. This framework is intended to support SPD in its role to protect public safety and security in B.C. by ensuring that the people and businesses that it regulates comply with governing statutes, regulations, and policies.

Contraventions of the Armoured Vehicle and After-Market Compartment Control Act and Regulation can result in sanctions, including:

Violation Tickets,
Suspension, and
Cancellation.

The Compliance and Enforcement Policies details SPD’s progressive enforcement policy on investigating contraventions and imposing sanctions.
