Apply for a teaching Certificate of Qualification in British Columbia

Before you apply for a teaching Certificate of Qualification in British Columbia:

A Certificate of Qualification is required for educators who work at:

• B.C. public schools, including full-time, part-time and on-call teachers
• Schools that are part of the First Nations Schools Association

This type of certificate can also be used to teach at B.C. independent, First Nations or offshore schools.

Application fees for Certificates of Qualification are based on where you took your teacher education program:

• At a B.C. or Canadian university: $245
• Outside of Canada: $395
