Project Scope:  This project includes a seismic upgrade and a 200-seat expansion of Victoria High School. The upgrade also meets another need in the community, as it includes a new neighbourhood learning centre (NLC) for childcare programs. The project will preserve a key part of Victoria’s history, with the retention of exterior elements, like terracotta, granite and brick masonry, as well as interior features, such as the marble and art glass in the main entrance and lobby. The project is part of the government’s work to accelerate the Seismic Mitigation Program and ensure that every B.C. student is in a seismically safe school as soon as possible.
