Project Scope: This project includes the seismic mitigation of the K-7, single-storey, wood-frame building constructed in 1958 (Block 1) with additions in 1960 (Gymnasium - Block 2, Changerooms and Storage – part of Block 1), 1961, 1963, 1966, 1967 (parts of Block 1), 1969 (Block 3), 1986 and 1988 (parts of Block 1). This project includes the full seismic upgrade of James Whiteside with additional school building enhancements to improve the facility’s condition. In addition to the work proposed in Option 1, the project scope will include building envelope upgrade, HVAC upgrade, interior finishes renewal, electrical upgrades and plumbing upgrades. The school will maintain a capacity of 40K/300E, and the building area would remain at 3,107 m2.
