Deputy sheriff instructor

BC Public Service deputy sheriff instructors are responsible for planning, coordinating, supervising or carrying out policy relating to service of criminal and civil documents, court security, witness management, jury management, escorts and security of accused and convicted persons and mental patients.

They enforce writs of execution, provide service to Superintendent of Motor Vehicles and coroner’s courts and carry out other duties assigned to sheriff services.
