Forest technician

This includes:
- Fire-suppression crew person
- Fire detection/lookout person
- Seed orchard technician
- Research crew person
- Junior assistant on cruising or forest survey parties
- Stand treatment crew person
- Plot measurement crew person
Work at this level is specifically assigned and is subject to checking. Positions at the entry level work under close supervision.
Forest Technician 6
Effective the first pay period after June 1, 2025, positions classified as range 6 will be paid at grid range 7. Review grid level 7 pay rates for this position.
