Building maintenance worker

BC Public Service building maintenance workers are responsible for cleaning, servicing and maintenance duties within government institutions and buildings.

These duties include:

• Sweeping, mopping, polishing, waxing and vacuuming floors
• Dusting and polishing desks, furniture and woodwork;
• Cleaning specialized areas of the building
• Mixing industrial cleaning solutions
• Performing minor maintenance to equipment

Refer to grid level 9 for pay rates in effect from April 6, 2025 to March 7, 2026. Effective the first pay period after March 8, 2026, positions classified as range 9 will be paid at grid range 10. Review grid level 10 pay rates for this position.
