Request or Donate Supplies to Support B.C.'s COVID-19 Response

Eligible organizations can request to purchase supplies of personal protective equipment (PPE) and cleaning and disinfectant products from the B.C. government. Donations of priority products are also invited.

Request to Purchase Supplies from Government 

Eligible Organizations

The following organizations are eligible to submit a request to purchase personal protective equipment (PPE) and cleaning supplies via this site:

  • First responders (e.g., fire departments, police services, ambulance services)
  • Local governments
  • First Nation governments and Indigenous organizations 
  • Entities in the Government Reporting Entity, as defined in the Budget Transparency and Accountability Act
  • Broader public sector and other entities, including public and private social service providers:
    • Contracted social service providers
    • Substance use and addictions services including outreach
    • Residential and care facilities for substance use, addictions, and mental health services
    • Transitional, social and supportive housing
    • Single-room occupancy housing (SROs) and emergency shelters
    • Food banks, community kitchens, voluntary and community service providers
    • Childcare providers
    • Independent schools (e.g., private (K-12) education)
    • Critical incident service responders and workplace inspection entities
    • Victim services organizations
    • Community services and outreach for immigrants, refugees, vulnerable populations

Please email COVID19Request@gov.bc.ca with any questions regarding this list.

Other organizations and businesses can access non-medical safety equipment via Small Business BC's Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Marketplace. PPE suppliers interested in being listed as a vendor in the non-medical PPE Marketplace can submit a request to be part of the marketplace.

Allocating Supplies

Supplies will be allocated to the higher priority essential services first. 

  • Orders are fulfilled based on the need for specific types of supplies appropriate for a service provider grouping or activity, which is informed by Provincial Health Officer (PHO)  and WorkSafeBC guidance and workplace safety plans
  • Organizations should review guidance from the PHO and WorkSafeBC to determine what supplies are appropriate for specific activities, including information on selecting and using masks
