Graham is a minerals deposit geologist and regional mapper with a recent focus on collaborative studies of magmatic Ni-Cu-PGE deposits in ultramafic-mafic intrusions at convergent margins and potential linkages with Cu-Au alkalic porphyry systems in the Canadian Cordillera.

Expertise

Before Graham joined the BCGS in 1987 as a Project Geologist, he was working as a mapping geologist in the mineral exploration industry in BC and Yukon, a Sessional Lecturer at UBC, and an Adjunct Professor at Queen’s University teaching volcanology/igneous petrology and supervising graduate student theses. Since joining BCGS Graham has been involved in mineral deposit studies throughout BC including Ni-Cu-Cr-PGE mineralization in ultramafic-mafic intrusions and Cu-Au-PGE deposits in alkali porphyry systems. Graham has also conducted regional mapping programs in northern Vancouver Island and the Toodoggone. More recently, Graham has become involved in TGI-4/TGI-5 partnerships studying Ni-Cu-PGE mineralization in an emerging class of ultramafic-mafic intrusions at convergent margins in collaboration with researchers at the GSC and UBC.
