Travis is a Quaternary geologist with expertise in surficial geology mapping, Quaternary stratigraphy, and surface sediment geochemical and mineralogical exploration methods.

Education

University of Victoria (B.Sc., 1999)
University of Victoria (M.Sc., 2004)

Expertise

After working five years in northeast British Columbia on aggregate potential assessments for the Ministry of Energy and Mines, Oil and Gas Division, Travis joined the British Columbia Geological Survey in 2007 as a Quaternary geologist. For over 20 years, he has mapped and described surficial deposits in British Columbia and interpreted Quaternary stratigraphy.  His research interests include utilizing, and further developing, surface sediment exploration methods to assess mineral potential.
