Roddy leads regional geological studies and bedrock mapping programs to provide geological maps, reports, and other British Columbia Geological Survey products.
University of St Andrews (B.Sc., 2014)
Memorial University of Newfoundland (M.Sc., 2018)
Roddy joined the BCGS in 2023. He is a regional geological mapper currently focussed on the study of intrusive rocks of Stikine terrane in northwestern British Columbia. He is interested in the relationship between magmatism, and broader tectonic processes and how these relate to mineralization.
Roddy started fieldwork in the Cordillera in 2015 as part of his M.Sc. thesis studying the post-rift volcanic stratigraphy of the Kechika Group in south-central Yukon. He then spent about five years in mineral exploration working on volcanogenic massive sulphide and orogenic gold deposits in Manitoba and Ontario.
