Terms and conditions of short-term rental offer registration

Pursuant to section 9 of the Short-Term Rental Accommodations Act, registration of this short-term rental offer (the “Offer”) is subject to the terms and conditions below. Definitions used in the Short-Term Rental Accommodations Act (the “Act”) and the Short-Term Rental Accommodations Regulation (the “Regulation”) apply to these terms and conditions.

1. The registrant must comply, and must ensure that the Offer complies, with all requirements of the Act, the Regulation, and these terms and conditions.
2. Any listing of the Offer, including but not limited to any listing as a platform offer, must:
   1. On or after May 1, 2025, display a valid registration number, and
   2. Display a business licence number, where applicable.
3. The Offer must comply with the principal residence requirement in the Act, where applicable.
4. Registration of the Offer is valid only for short-term rental accommodation services provided at the address registered for that purpose.
5. The registrant must ensure that the short-term rental is operated in accordance with the type of offer for which the applicable registration fee has been paid.
6. The registrant must report to the Registrar any changes in the registration details of the Offer within fourteen calendar days of when the change occurs, including:
   1. The name of the property host;
   2. The address of the property provided by the Offer, including the unit number;
   3. The name and telephone number, address, email address and, if applicable, fax number of:
      1. the property host, and
      2. the registrant, if different from the property host;
   4. Local government business licence number, where required by local bylaws;
   5. Whether the property provided by the Offer is the principal residence of the property host; and
   6. Whether the Offer is for an entire residence or only a portion of the residence.
7. The registration becomes invalid and a new registration is required if either of the following occur:
   1. The Offer has a new property host; or
   2. The Offer is not for the principal residence of the property host, and the Offer is changed from a portion of the residence to the entire residence.
8. The Offer and the short-term rental accommodation services provided at the property provided by the Offer must comply with all applicable short-term rental bylaws and related bylaws, including any bylaws requiring a valid business licence.
9. The registrant must comply with all investigations conducted and requests for production of records issued under the Act.

Failure to comply with the terms and conditions of registration may result in the suspension or cancellation of your registration.
