One-time passcode

A form of authentication where a user is granted access to government services by entering a one-time password sent to them by email. This password is valid for a short time and can only be used once.

Overview:

  • Low assurance identity. You should only have low confidence that the person is who they say they are
  • Anyone with a valid email address is allowed to login through this method
