On September 25, soil sample results were received from the laboratory. No volatile organic compounds (VOCs) were detected in any of the samples. In addition, all other tested parameters—including metals—were found to be below applicable soil standards for the protection of human health.
The Environmental and Emergency Branch (EEB) is currently awaiting additional soil sample results to determine ammonia concentrations. These results will be shared once they become available.
EEB continues to support the ongoing assessment of potential public safety and environmental impacts in the Jordan River area. Select groundwater well testing is in planned in the future, and further updates will be provided once that sampling is complete.

On September 18, 2025, the Environmental Emergency Branch (EEB) was notified of a potential spill incident in Jordan River that the RCMP were investigating.
EEB staff attended the site to support the determination of any impacts to the surrounding environment.
The EEB have taken samples from the incident site. Results from those samples will be posted when they become available.
EEB continues to support the assessment of any potential impacts from the site in Jordan River. Further updates are expected once sampling results have been received.
