On January 19, 2026, the Ministry of Environment and Parks (ENV) received a report of a motor vehicle incident involving a fuel truck near Fort Nelson, B.C..

A fuel truck carrying approximately 52,000 litres of jet fuel rolled into a ditch and is resting on its side.

No spilled jet fuel has been reported.

Response crews and equipment are on route to the incident location. The jet fuel is expected to be transferred from the fuel truck this afternoon, January 20, 2026.

An ENV Response Officer is on route to the incident location to assess site conditions and response.

ENV Response Officers continue to monitor the incident.
