Real Estate Foundation Grant Program

Description

The Real Estate Foundation of BC's (REFBC) grants support initiatives that non-profit organizations have identified as important based on research, knowledge and expertise. Their grants fund research and knowledge mobilization, public and professional education, initiatives that support law and policy analysis/reform, and other land use and real estate related projects that benefit B.C. communities.

The REFBC grants program supports five interest areas: Freshwater Sustainability, Built Environment Sustainability, Professional Excellence in Real Estate, Local and Sustainable Food Systems and Sustainable Land Use.

REFBC accepts applications through two streams: General Grants and Real Estate Industry Grants:

  • General Grants can fund work in all five program areas. There are two intakes a year and applications are open to any non-profit organization in B.C. doing projects related to land use.
  • Real Estate Industry Grants can also fund work in all five program areas, but most applications focus on the “professional excellence in real estate” program area. Applications for Real Estate Industry Grants are open only to non-profit organizations that are part of the real estate sector in B.C.

Special Requirements

REFBC grants can support:

  • registered non-profit organizations (including charities, NGOs, post-secondary institutions, professional associations, societies, local and regional governments, and First Nations)
