Real Estate Foundation Grant Program

Last updated on April 23, 2021

Description

The Real Estate Foundation of BC's (REFBC) grants support projects that address current land use challenges and help communities to plan for the future. Their grants help fund public and professional education, law and policy analysis, research, and other projects related to land use and real estate in British Columbia.

The REFBC grants program supports five interest areas: land use, built environments, fresh water, food lands, and real estate.

REFBC accepts applications through two streams: General Grants and Real Estate Industry Grants:

  • General Grants can fund work in all five program areas. There are two intakes a year and applications are open to any non-profit organization in B.C. doing projects related to land use.
  • Real Estate Industry Grants usually fund projects related to real estate, though they can also fund projects related to other aspects of land use. There is one intake each year. Applications are open only to non-profit organizations that are part of the real estate sector in B.C.

Special Requirements

REFBC grants can support:

  • Registered non-profit organizations (including charities, NGOs, post-secondary institutions, professional associations, societies, local and regional governments, and First Nations)
  • Community Contribution Companies (C3s)
