Next Generation 911

Description 

The Next Generation 911 funding program supports local preparedness for the implementation of NG911 and provides funding to support the transition and operational readiness of existing 911 services to NG911. This is in compliance with the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) Mandate Funding of $60 million provided by the Province of B.C.

Eligibility requirements

Local governments (municipalities and regional districts) and Treaty First Nations in B.C. are eligible.

Applications are accepted from November 1, 2024 - April 11, 2025.

Administration

The funding is being administered by the Union of BC Municipalities (UBCM) on behalf of the Ministry of Citizens’ Services.
