Description

The Small Community Wildfire Readiness Support Program funds small and First Nations communities in the Columbia Basin to be ready for wildfires. The program supports wildfire prevention planning, training, and equipment purchases to help communities be more prepared and resilient.

Eligibility requirements

Eligible applicants include:

  • First Nation communities in the Columbia Basin
  • Local governments representing a small or remote community (typically with fewer than 2,500 people)
  • Legally incorporated societies that run a fire department or brigade

Applicants must be based in the Columbia Basin region.
